More of Glacier

After yesterday’s post was written, the sky began to turn dark. We had a few clouds overhead, and they began to grow darker as the day turn to night. By midnight it was raining. I started to say cats and dogs, but in fact it was just rain. But it was pushed against the side of the trailer so hard by the wind that it sounded like cats and dogs!! It rained on & off into the night. But unfortunately, it was not nearly enough rain to refill the lakes and streams here.

Today the wind is still howling, but the skies are again that beautiful Montana blue, and the haze is gone from the mountains. We had planned to go to Waterton Lake today, but as our plans have been known to do, they changed this morning. We’re spending the day in camp to rest a bit, dump the tanks, clean the rig, and get the laundry done. Waterton Lakes will wait until tomorrow.

But I will include some photos Sal took on yesterday’s trip to Logan Pass.
